Homework Centre
Homework Centre supports a wide range of academic, homework and learning needs.
Homework Centre operates on Monday afternoons between 3:30 and 4:30 PM and is held in the library. An afternoon snack is provided.
Each week students receive assistance with homework, assignments and assessment tasks as well as general tutoring as requested by a team of cross faculty-staff and senior student mentors. Students may also use the Homework Centre as an opportunity to develop their organisational and study skills.
The Homework Centre is coordinated by Ms Margaret Burke (English/EALD) and is also attended by a range of teachers from various faculties around the school. Other staff may attend on occasion. The students also receive support from student mentors who are selected on merit to be Homework Centre Mentors.
Boys who wish to attend Homework Centre must have a permission note completed with parent/carer signature via School Bytes. Please note that though parental permission to attend is required attendance is not compulsory. Students who are on the attendance roll but who are not present on a specific Monday are recorded as 'Explained Absence'.
We hope that the students find Homework Centre useful.
