Wearing school uniform has a number of benefits that are identified in the School Uniforms in NSW Government Schools policy. Some of these benefits are,

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000, (OH&S Act) school must ensure that students are not exposed to risks to their health and safety while on school premises. In order to ensure that students are safe it is expected that students wear black leather school shoes as part of their standard uniform. Black leather shoes are particularly important when working in Technology and Science due the the materials that the they handle and are exposed to. Similarly, students are encouraged to wear a school hat to protect themselves from the sun. Finally, students are discouraged from wearing jewellery such and chains or rings that may cause injury to themselves or others when they are working around machinery and involved in sporting activities.
There are two uniform shops at Epping Boys High School:
The only place to buy monogrammed uniforms is the Uniform Shop, operated by Daylight Sportswear which is located in G Block. The Uniform Shop is open every Thursday from 7.30 am - 11.30 am and Mondays 10.00 am - 2.00 pm.
For all new pupils starting at the beginning of the year we do open for some special hours in January while the rest of the school is still on school holidays. Items of uniform may also be purchased on orientation day held in December each year.
Exchanges of items of clothing will only be available if clothes have not been worn or washed and proof of purchase shown (sales docket).
Payment of clothing may be by cash, EFTPOS or credit card. For credit card payment please provide details of name, credit card number and expiry date.
